What is anyones thought on the 2003 Monte Carlo SS? I heard Scotty say, that the 3.8 v6 in the Monte Carlo, was one of the best motors Chevrolet made, for a v6. I have owned a 1974 Monte Carlo and a 1985 Monte Carlo ss and both were great cars.Just looking at a 2003 ss maybe to buy.Thanks Rick
of course overall the older ones who better make but that is a very good engine the problem is with electronics and computer stuff that have a tendency to fail over time on GM's I would not overpay for an old one I doubt as if the v6 SS will ever become any kind of a collector's item it was only the v8s that people want

The engines were good but the rest of the car.....not so much.
As Scotty said, they aren't going to be collectible so if you can find one you like for the right price and it checks out, enjoy it.
