2003 Nissan 350z failing emissions test

Hi Scotty,

Thanks for all your tips!

I have a Nissan 2003 350z that has failed emissions test.  The lambda revving at 2500 - 3000 is 1.3 and I need to get it down to below 1.03 to pass the test.  I've changed the cat converter, muffler, ignition coils, mass airflow converter and cleaned the air filter but still can't get it down to anywhere close to 1.03.  Any suggestions please?

Thank you!!

Willing to bet on vacuum leaks.

May I ask where the vaccum leaks could be from? The catalytic converter, engine, or elsewhere that may cause that? Many thanks for your advice!

@dau
Vacuum leaks are caused by loose intake piping/vacuum lines PAST the MAF sensor. Any "unmetered" air that enters the engine will give you inaccurate readings. Make sure everything is connected nice and tight.

Got it. Thanks!!

Also check the live data to see what parameter is off and go from there.

Alright! Thanks!
