Hey Scotty, my uncle has a 2003 Toyota Tacoma 6 cylinder with about 190,000 miles on it. He’s getting engine oil inside of his airbox and on the filter. The truck is also hesitating on acceleration almost as if it is going to stall out. He changed the pcv valve and air filter but is still having issues. What could be happening here? Please help.

sounds like he might have a blow by concern since the pcv was already replaced. It’s worth checking making sure there’s no restrictions from sludge and such in the valve cover possibly clogging the flow of crank pressure

There are two crankcase vents, one through the PCV valve and one from the valve cover to the air cleaner.  Excessive oil in the air cleaner could be the result of a clogged PCV valve or excessive blowby from worn out piston rings.

I see a compression test in your near future
