Topic starter
  • 170,000 miles
  • Suspension problem ( clunka clunk noise)
  • Engine ticking (when pressing throttle)
  • Evap leak (not the gas cap, I checked)
  • 3 Warped rotors
  • Bad starter (fixed)
  • Thermostat (replaced)
  • Coolant hose torn and over heated the car (replaced hose)
  • Muffler rattles like mad

I got this car last year, around August 2019 (156,000 miles). I've been doing the oil changes and fresh tires. Getting problems throughout the year. This car was in an accident before my ownership and was bought by my mom for me of a family member. I have an itch to buy a different vehicle and sell this one. I'm thinking about a 2000 Mustang v6 140,000 miles (commuting for work and college). Toyota didn't make a good impression for me, maybe I should've taken the car to a mechanic first but it came from a different state. I want to try a different manufacturer. Thoughts? I'm 19 young and foolish so I need some advice.☃️

You need new struts or springs or shocks for the clunka clunk sound. Warped rotors is easy, get new rotors, evap could also be the charcoal filter canister that helps clean gas vapors released from the tank. The ticking sound is the lifters most likely. But either fix it or junk it and find one in better shape.
