2003 Tundra V6

I’m looking at an old tundra v6 regular cab because it has a nice 8’ bed good for picking up lumber and stuff. I don’t like the new ones with back seats. How do these compare to the new V8s in terms of reliability? I know it’s obviously less powerful

The V6 Toyota is a proven engine for reliability and reasonable horsepower. It does not put as much as power that the V8 does but it has less maintenance costs. One thing to consider is that it has timing belt and needs to be changed, but it is not that big of a deal since I think you need to change it every 90k miles, if I'm not wrong (Check the car manual for the exact interval).
