Hello Scotty
Thanks for reading my email
I have a 2003 Volkswagen TDI 1.9 jetta wagon
Automatic transmission. upon accelerating
The tachometer needle will move approximately 6 to 800
RPM and then go back down and it will continue to do this
Until reaching approximately 65 mph
At which time cruise control is engaged and tachometer
Needle will fluctuate ever-so-slightly. Transmission operates
Very well but after traveling thirty or Forty Miles
Vehicle will slow on its own until it will barely move.
After sitting for awhile that vehicle well operate normally
But again with the tachometer fluctuating. Although the transmission
Has approximately 275000 miles the transmission operates with no
Mechanical problems. No fluid leaks. Your possible diagnosis Would be much
Appreciated.
thanks

Have you run a code scan yet? Sounds like a skip.

By the way, I did some reading & a vw tech was saying a common misfire cause on those is the injector o-ring not sealing, the injector needing to be adjusted & also the wiring at the injector.

But get those codes first before trying any work.

When did you change your transmission fluid and filter last on this 19 year old vehicle?
