My 2004 Chevy Silverado has 65,000 miles on it. There is a problem with the passenger and driver door not turning on the lights in the cab of the truck. If I put the driver door in one exact position it won't turn on the light. The passenger door completely doesn't turn on the cabin lights. Also, my truck comes equipped with the clearance lights on the roof of the cab. The two outer clearance lights work but the middle clearance light doesn't. I looked at the fuzes under the hood of the truck but none of them were blown. Please let me know if these things are simple fixes.
You need to verify that the wires passing thru from the door to the cab may be pinched or broken first before making any assumptions.
Did you check the cabin fuse box? It is either on the driver or passenger side of the dash, when you open the door there should be a panel that you can pry off on the side of the dash to check.
