Hey Scotty I got a 2004 crown Victoria with 2 lean codes on it I was told it might be the maf sensor I was wondering what you think
Clarification: What is the mileage?
The milage is 124k I just changed the fuel filter that didn't do anything
"Lean" simply means the engine has too much air or not enough fuel. That's it. You can probably think of a few ways that can happen yourself.
If the fuel pump isn't working right, you won't get enough fuel. Maybe the pump is worn, or maybe the filter is plugged.
If your air intake system is leaking air, then too much air gets in. Check for leaks using water spray or some fuel like propane or starting fluid.
So start with the easy stuff 1st.
Yes the MAF sensor could be malfunctioning too, but you'd need to test that with a diagnostic tool.
I changed the fuel filter I guess The maf is next will I damage anything if I keep driving it I don't see a vacuum leak
Measure your fuel pressure. You can't see vacuum leaks. You have to listen to the engine.
You can drive it a little bit.
