How do I fix RAM truck rich mixture

2004 dodge ram

Im getting a P0172 and P0175 

 

Help please


Please also state the mileage, engine, and transmission.

164000 miles, 4.7 magnum v8 automatic. P0172 system too rich bank 1. P0175 system too rich bank 2. Thats all i have.

System is running to rich. If those are you’re only codes you need to examine all you smaller hoses, from size of a pencil, to about the diameter of your thumb. You likely have a vacuum leak that could be causing it. A clogged air filter could cause it. Clean your throttle body as well.

On your hoses look for loose ones, cracked ones. Worn holes from rubbing etc..., bad O2 sensors and other things can cause those codes but generally you would have other codes along with them if that were the case. So do those things, clear the codes and follow back up with us.

Check for vacuum leaks. Clean the MAF sensor.


I dont have a MAF, I have an IAT.. would it be the same?
