2002 Lexus ES 300 Stopped running. Won't start back now

Car stopped in my parking lot. I have had a P0442 code on for a while now, other than that no issues. Today while coming back I saw a battery engine light and some other light possibly not sure before it stopped. Won't start back up now. The car is at or around 178350 miles.

The headlights, power windows all work so I doubt if its the battery. Anyways I have a mechanic coming in tomorrow morning to take a look at what's wrong.

I plugged in my obd scanner to see if any new codes popped up but still the P0442 code showed and no new codes.

Any idea what could be wrong with the car?

Have your electrical system tested (battery + alternator)

Will do that but its weird that no codes show up and AC, power windows and headlights work but it wont start.

Anyways thanks for the quick response mate.

The guy seemed to say he heard some noise from the timing belt and he needs to open it and see if a loose bolt found its way in there. Doesn't see anything on his scanner as well.

No issues with the battery + alternator according to him.

I am trusting his word and letting him dig into the timing belt and do his diagnostics.

I forgot to mention I fueled it up at costco before coming back home and used the usual 91 fuel.

Do these cars use the AGM battery? Those are finick-y with the electricals so even if the car has lights and all that the car won't start without proper voltage. Check battery and alternator test since I assume the car cranks over.

Not sure I would have to check to see what battery the previous owner put in. But yeah will have the guy test my battery & alternator and take it from there. Thanks
