I'm looking at a 2004 Honda Accord to buy it has 61000 original miles I can prove it the guy said that some lady gave it to him about 10 or 12 years ago and all he's really done is started up and driving around the block. So he's never really driven it but he says every so often he starts it up and drives it around the block and then sometimes you just let it sit there and idle what should I be looking 4 when I look at the car

for something that has sat for many years there would be a lot of rubber components that have probably perished/dry rotted. before driving it if you are keen on it i would check all underneath first, suspension bushes and rubbers could be shot.

test drive it on the highway and see how it runs. have a mechanic inspect it.

If it has a timing belt, check the condition of the timing belt.  It may need to be changed, just by age.  And check the conditions of the other belts too.
