I'm looking at potentially purchasing a 2004 Honda CR-V with 57,000 miles. The seller is asking $7,500 for the car and from the information that I have, it looks to be in pretty good shape. Is there anything to look out for in this year of CR-V's and is the price fair for this type of car.
Overall, those are pretty reliable cars. The 4 speed automatic transmission on those is a little weak so have that checked thoroughly before you make an offer. $7,500 seems quite high for a 17 year old CRV even with that low mileage. See if you can get it down to $5,000. I would also suggest you try out the Toyota RAV4 from around those years as well - the automatic transmission on the RAV4s is stronger than the one on those older CRVs.
