Scotty, I purchased a used 2004 Lincoln Navigator ($11,000) with 86,000 miles, garage kept. Nice car/truck but not all buttons whistles work. But I can live without these. Not long and I had to replace the catalytic converters on one side and then the auto transmission with a new one. Is there anything further that I can expect needing repairs? I change the oil every 5,000 miles and try to keep it up. I am retired USN and stay at home mostly so don't drive much. Only one trip so far from Alabama to Oklahoma, no problems.

Best to all,

Have your mechanic checked the car before purchase? If not, take it to a good mechanic to inspect the car. If the mileage is legit, the cats should not have gone bad, unless the engine has some issues.
I agree with @yaser, take it to a good mechanic to make sure that everything works properly. Make sure that a wet/dry compression test is also involved to make sure that the engine still has life left in it.
