I’ve got a 04 Mazda 3 with a 2.3L I4 with a manual transmission at 195,000km I was wondering if there might be a reason why my car makes a tiny ticking sound from under to hood it’s really faint but I just don’t know if it’s going to be something catastrophic.

Often the hydraulic lift is on those tick a little I would change my oil probably more frequently but it's not that big of a deal as the age many of those Mazdas make bits of ticking noises cuz the lifters are a little weak but the engine has so many of them it's a super expensive job to replace them all
