Hello,

I am having issues with my 2004 Mazda 6 i . 2.3l automatic transmission. Mileage is 194K. Its having a random misfire. I have checked it myself and taken it to 3 shops and we can’t find out what the issue is. It’s been having a p0300 for a while now. Today a p0420 code just showed up. Any ideas? Thanks In advance.

Randomizer I stinker define but you've taken to three shops they must all be a bunch of idiots.find a guy like me who will road test it with this high level scan tool hooked up when it starts misfiring he pushes a button which memorizes the last 45 seconds of information which can be analyzed to find where the fault lies

I’m not to far from you but I don’t think it will make it. I’m taking it to another shop tomorrow. Maybe they will figure it out. I was thinking maybe its the timing chain but I’m just guessing .

Fixed The problem. It was the computer.

What did you have to do exactly?

I decided to get a new computer. Since I changed the computer I haven’t had any issues. I have a evap code that just popped up but I haven’t had any misfires or hesitations. Transmitting is slipping. So might need to start looking for new car. Sorry it took me to this long to reply. Lol
