No heat when idling but when the car is moving it works well. what do you think is the problem

Does the fan continue to run? Just gets cool when you come to a stop? Only time I ever had anything like this happen with heat was coolant level low. That will do it. And other cause was a failing water pump. Wasn’t moving water well at idle but at higher speeds it would. And for you I hope it’s low coolant cause changing water pumps on your car isn’t fun.
