My 04 Silverado transmission has been acting up (surprise suprise) when I drove it yesterday it seemed fine had it over 60 on the highway but after taking it through an automatic car wash it didn't want to go above 40 are they known for water getting into electronics and causing transmission problems?

Water can you get in anything when you go through a car wash. Could have gotten the ignition system. Could have got it on the control module for the transmission. Could have got a lot of stuff. That's why I advise people to hand wash their car. But if you're lucky hoping I would get a hair dryer start drying everything
