I have a 2004 Sienna with 168,000 miles & everything runs reasonably well. Recently I had a few false skid warning triggered just driving normally on the highway when skid icon, audio warning & sometimes braking due to the skid warning coming on. I live in Northern California where its dry & roads are smooth. I found this video by someone which described my situation perfectly.

What could be causing this?

Sounds like it may be a sensor issue somewhere in the TCM or ABS system.
