I'm considering buying a 2004 Toyota Sienna XLE Minivan 4D that only accelerates about 5 mph.
What could be wrong with it?

Before you get serious about it, have it thoroughly inspected by your honest mechanic to check if a simple fix like Scotty mentioned. If it’s an expensive fix, forget about it.

Could be a clogged fuel filter I clogged catalytic converter or a weak fuel pump those are the most common ones
