Hi Scotty,
Good day!
I have a 2004 Volvo S40 T4 and getting a P0171 System Too Lean Bank 1 error code. I am experiencing a car hesitates at lower rpm, had it checked by a mechanic and said that my MAF sensor is need to be replaced. I tried cleaning my MAF sensor but the check engine came back after a few hours of driving. I also watched a video that if I turn on my car then disconnect the MAF sensor and my car keeps running my MAF sensor need to be replaced. Any advise on this kind of issue and how can I tell that I need to replace my MAF sensor.
Thank you.
It's not smart to guess with parts and I'm on a car's disconnecting the sensor isn't much of a test cuz there's so much backup software more often you'll either have a vacuum leak somewhere on the intake system or a problem with bad injector causing it to run lean on that side
Hi Scotty,
Thanks for your advised. I'm just new to car repair. Could you give any instruction on how to start fixing, any tools I can use to check vacuum leak or bad injector.
Thanks for your help.
