Hey Scotty, I recently purchased a k24a motor from Japan as a replacement for my tsx. I want to upgrade the internals on the new lower miles engine. What parts should I replace and upgrade for maximum power gains?

Scotty is not really the right person to ask about modifying car but your in luck because I love modded cars and I'm here to help!

First check out Gear and Gasoline's Civic Type R K swap build series. They go over EVERYTHING you need to do to Kswap/ect and they do it over the course of a few videos and I found them! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uVb3T_IQ1Y and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfG0nd6FkQQ and as a bonus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYf3hnowRKU

Also check out Boosted Bois on youtube they easily have the best videos on those engines as they put them in just about all their cars and currently have a MR2 with a Kswap that makes over 1000HP. The video's where they are build/upgrading the MR2 would be a good place to learn and keep in mind that when you make this kind of power shit will break OFTEN on your car and engine so part of it is going to be up to you and what you want to do with the car because that is going to determine how much to spend and what overall to upgrade....

And theres Three main choices Track, Drag and Street.

Track? Go with the things Gears and Gasoline use. Obviously you won't need everything they use because its going to be different for your car but that'll help you get started at least.

Drag? Boosted Bois but check those Gears and Gas vids too just to see what options you have. They only drag race and don't do track events BUT their video are spaced out and they don't just focus on one car so you're going to have to look through their chan to find the build videos and stuff because they post a LOT. The MR2 series is where I would start.

Street? You really don't need much if anything at all those k series engines put down a lot of power with just a few ez mods like intake and exhaust and a tune and if you want more power after that look into a turbo or supercharger setup.

Like I said if the goal is track or drag BE PREPARED for things to break and to spend some serious $$$ and the same when you start turboing a car. More power means things wear out faster and theres no getting around it. That's why a cool Street car with a few mods is probably the best thing unless you have other goals.

Lastly Ktuned makes LITERALLY ALL the parts for Kseries cars. If you need something specific call them and they can help.

GL modding my friend and feel free to comment on this post again if you have any more questions!
