I know BMW. This should be an obvious question, but I'd figured I'd get more info. I just bought a 2005 BMW 525i. It kind of fell on my lap after my other guy blew. It's RWD. My cousin and I were talking and he highly recommends I get 4 snow tires for it. I grew up in upstate NY like Scotty and sometimes the snow tires can be a big difference. It's BMW so I'm sure it might need them. Not sure. I live in Albany now so the roads then to be taken care of, but before I start saving for expensive tires, would I really need them in most cases since they are 17" and expensive?
I grew up in Long Island, NY and when the snow came, we changed our tires from regular to winter. For your vehicle, look at all-season tires before even touching winter tires for your car.
