[Solved] 2005 dodge neon vibrating/jerking acceleration

Constantly vibrates on and off, makes the car jerk while accelerating but the engine itself and everything I can see doesn't seem to be shaking at all. 2005 dodge neon 125,000mi automatic. Has oil and coolant. No leaks or overheating. Drives good from a cold engine. Only error code is p0107. replaced the map sensor, still happening. Don't see anything wrong with the wires but didn't test it with multimeter. Could that really be causing this jerking or something else is wrong?

Did you use an OEM sensor?

See link for all possible causes -

I bought a Duralast one from autozone. I also got a multimeter that says it's receiving 5v of power

Can you still return it & exchange it for an OEM map sensor? If it’s not the sensor, it might well be the PCM. Check out the link I attached, above.

I have the receipt and the part + box and just got it yesterday so I'll try 👍. Meanwhile I discovered something. Sometimes it drives perfect and I only experience the shaking when stopped, then it goes away when driving. Other times being parked experiences no shaking and the driving jerks. Other times both.

Pray it’s not the PCM. But try the OEM map sensor first.

I haven't gotten the OEM yet but I looked in the fuse box and found this MTV relay really loose, Google it and read it stood for manifold tuning valve and thought it had something to do my problem? I just don't know how I could make it stick in there better.

Nevermind. This car doesn't have an mtv relay but other versions do it seems. I was just looking at the fuse box diagram.

Meanwhile, I unplugged the computer (pcm) then plugged it back in and it's not having that problem anymore. For now....

Interesting. Fingers crossed it doesn’t return.
