2005 Ford Freestar - 3.9 - automatic - 111,151 miles
Vehicle will go a couple of weeks and then start sputtering dead a time or two then trouble free again - happened a few more times this week - codes read Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor A circuit high - second code System Too Rich Bank 2 - have changed the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor and cleared the check engine light - running fine so far with no check engine light coming on but who knows? Considering the 17 year age of this vehicle would replacing the fuel pump be a good or bad thing to do? It is my wife's daily driver and she freaks out when it dies on her. Thanks

I would replace both the fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator
Thank you Sir Scotty!
