- Hello Scotty I have a 2017 Ram 1500 with 50,000 miles on it. Are the aluminum alloy engine blocks any good for long term use? I understand that the pentastar engine doesn’t get as hot.
Hope this gets on one of the YouTube videos!

Yeah, those are fine long term as long as they aren’t worked too hard. The electronics and suspension are weak, but the drive train is solid (at least average to above average).
