Scotty, 2005 Ford Taurus with 72k on it. It was an old lady's. Has 90k on it now. My dad is a less than stellar 'mechanic.' He's been using 10w30 fully synthetic when the manual calls for using 5w20. Should I be worried?? It doesn't use any oil (as far as I know) when I check it the level is where it was before. But since it is Pennsylvania winters I'll be driving in, will the engine wear on this heavier oil??

Package used to 10:30 just leave it that little bit won't hurt anything
