Scotty, I have a 2005 honda civic lx special edition in good condition with 180k miles on it but recently have had trouble with the interior electronics (guage cluster, radio, and 12v) shutting off randomly when I'm driving. I thought it could be the alternator wiring (I had to replace it about a year ago and it's been working fine), corrosion on the battery cables, or fuses so I checked all that and it's okay, the battery is good too. I've been doing some searching online for what could be the problem but I'm not finding anything that helps. What could the problem be? There's also not any battery light or check engine light. Load test battery and alternator in Autozone.
If those are the only thing affected, then you need to focus on that dash area. Pull it apart and check wiring. Make sure ground connections are tight and there's no chafed wires.
