Hey Scotty,
I'm looking at a 05' Honda CR-V being sold for $6k with nearly 73k miles-of course I'm going to try and negotiate the price way lower. What's your thoughts on this as a daily driver, reliability and maintenance/ /repair cost because of the age?
Unless an old person drove it on Sundays to church, I would be skeptical about that mileage. It's almost 19 years old and has 73k miles. All of the rubber vacuum hoses likely need replacing soon. An older car is not likely respond well to never being driven for so long, to being driven all the time. In 18 years, that's only gone 4,000 miles a year if that's the right mileage.
If it is indeed the correct mileage, change the transmission fluid. It's probably been in there since they built the car.
