Scotty,
I'm trying to decide between ES350 or ES250 for my next vehicle. ES350-V6 or E250-inline V4. Are there any issues with either of these engines and which one will last longer? I'm not a fast driver and don't need to have V6 but prefer bullet proof engine. thanks.
James
Both engines are good, but the 2.5L I4 will result in less total cost of ownership over time along with better mpg. Insurance should be a little lower as well.
.
I would still test drive an ES with both engines to see if the lower powered version is truly adequate enough for your needs. I plan to get an ES (2024 or 2025) but will opt for the V6 version - I want the additional power especially for the mountains.
The review of ES in that link are old ES. OP is asking about the newer ES.
@daywalker how do you know?
Because for the North American market, the ES250 was introduced starting with the current generation of ES (I.e. the 7th Gen). Prior to this, the Chinese market got the ES250 but we never got that option/trim here until this generation.
