I have a 2005 Honda CRV that has a shudder on take off. I have replaced the Torque Converter, front axles twice, all new tires, ran a compression test, replaced worn out spark plugs, replaced all four motor mounts, removed the rear driveshaft, had the alignment checked, and checked all the suspension parts. It has no misfire or other codes, I was a mechanic for for over 50 years and this just has me stumped, any suggestions?
Just an update, I tossed the Amazon front axles that I put in twice and bought a new set from NAPA. Guess what, no more shudder! I guess that teaches me to not buy critical parts from Amazon. Thanks for your reply.
Lots of junk out there. Beware. Some mechanics even recommend rebuilding rather than replacing.
Where you said you replace the torque converter so I would assume the transmission is starting to go out and that's pretty typical on those things. Shuttering isn't always a bad torque converter and those it's often internal to the transmission
