I bought a used 2005 Infiniti G35x as my first car for $1800 with 207000kms. Quickly realized I made a big mistake as I’ve had to replace countless parts and fix many leaks.Currently there is 225000kms. I finally got everything fixed and running for a few months when all of a sudden while I was driving my engine light came on and the car started to lose power. I scanned it and I got the code p0455 major Evap leak. What could the issue be this car has been giving me a hard time and I’m getting tired of it. The car also burns oil and the transmission seems to be going out as there’s a knocking sound. Lesson learned after watching scottys videos I’m sticking to Honda’s and Toyota’s from now on.
Now you know why I tell people not to buy those Infinity used
But pray you have some kind of large vacuum leak like the gas cap is gone or a giant hose fell off or something on the intake manifold to sucking vacuum and pray it's easy to find. At that age those things are swallowing endless money pits but really only paid 1800 bucks which should have warned you something there
well realize nobody really maintains those cars and that's when they can become money pits. Pray its a vacuum leak, otherwise kind of a waste of $1800.
