274,000 miles. I have never changed the transmission filter on my car. Do i need to change it? I do transmission fluid drain and fill every 30k miles. Is that enough? Or do i also need to replace the tranny filter once in a while?

You should have been changing the filter with each fluid change.
Well its not technically a filter. Its a screen, just like the mosquito screen on your house windows. I dont see it getting clogged up. Fluid can easily pass through the screens. Also i change the fluid every 30k miles. I might eventually change it one day just to be on the safe side.
