Good day Scotty,

Please I need a recommendation between 2005 Toyota Camry Sedan Vs 2006 Honda Accord Sedan to buy.

Thanks for answering in anticipation.

@emma-atuks
Both will get you 250k miles easy.
If you need more then camry.

@emma-atuks
Both are good cars if you got more budget go for Camry if not Accord.

Get the camry, but if you can find an 06 accord 4 cylinder with the 5 speed manual, get that one instead.

That's a 5th gen Camry and a lot of them burned oil.  I'd look into that before anything.

Your suggestion means Honda Accord is the better choice. Thanks a lot.

I agree with tjdean01, unless you buy a V6 camry.

Always check the maintenance and repair history as much as you can.  Both cars did have there issues.

If you are looking for automatics, be leery of the transmission failing on the Accord. That would be my biggest concern. My household had a couple 7th gens and they both had transmission problems. On my 2005 V6, it went out at 95,000 miles.

I had an 2003 Accord EXL V6.  Rock solid.  I got rid of it due to miles (260k hard miles in DC Beltway) and wife wanted an upgrade.  I can't say anything bad about it.  Mother in Law had an 05 Camry LE.  It was a Cleveland car with little rust and 160k miles.  We sold it about 3 months ago for $4k.  Bought it for $16k!  I can say that it was leaking oil around the valve cover, but that is an easy leak to fix.

You can't go wrong with either.  Both vehicles are stripped-down versions of the Lexus and Acura versions.  Get the one that has the least amount of owners and best maintenance records.
