I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma, automatic, with 197,000 miles on it. I tested the radiator with the kit you recommended, and it confirmed that there is a leak in the head gasket. I went to my mechanic and he also ran a test to confirm. He is quoting me at $5,700 to do the job. I realize that this is a big job, but I am not sure if it will be worth the investment. Do you think I should fix it or buy a new car?

Which engine? It's a big job but that price sounds over the top, you could get a rebuilt engine with a warranty for that kind of money.
