Hey, Scotty! My '06 trailblazer has been making a weird noise in the past couple weeks. It's been making a whirring sound that's similar to a tornado siren. The pitch of the noise goes up as the RPM increases. The noise also gets louder while turning the steering wheel. On top of that, the car has been idling at a far lower RPM than before (around 700). I'm not entirely sure if those two things are related, but it would be nice to get some clarity about what the issue might be.

It's probably the power steering pump.
