Ok so I replaced the radiator along with water pump thermostat and hoses and a while later my motor overheated pretty bad so I had the heads done at a reputable shop and installed them with new gaskets and now the car over heats when driving but seems ok at idle, any idea what the culprit is?

Check the coolant levels. If the coolant is fine, then send the vehicle back to where you got it worked on- the mechanic messed up the job and probably blew the head gasket. What's the mileage?
