2006 Colorado

I have a 2006 Colorado 2.8 engine. The engine has been rebuild and all sensors have been replace with new sensors. I came across one issue that after I drive my truck for about 5 miles it starts to idle and turns off but if I have the chance to accelerate before turning off it will continue to run smooth for about 5 miles. It makes a weird noise from the timely chain but everything is new when they rebuild the engine. I check for vacuum leaks and it’s all good the fuel pressure it’s also good. Can any body help me with these issue. Would it be the fuel injectors that are going bad?

  • It could be that they didn't rebuild the engine properly. You may want to take it back.
