My father has a 2006 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab SLT 4WD 4.7 V8 with 98,140 miles on the clock. He is considering getting rid of it because of the fuel economy on it- even though he drives conservatively. He wants to get something that's more fuel efficient but I worried that he'd might get something bad.
The truck is originally from New York and there is rust on the car but the frame is not rotting away. The engine and transmission both work perfectly fine with no issues.
Should my father sell the truck or keep it?

Update: He is getting rid of it and is looking at the new Lincoln Corsair.

As long as you take care of it, I think you'll be fine keeping it for a while
