I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab Laramie (2500 Frame) with 170,000 miles and a 5.7L Hemi.
I'm wondering if I should hold on to it and repair any issues that come up (engine/tranny) or get rid of it in favor of a newer Toyota Tundra. Its been reliable and never left me walking but it has some dash instrument issues (tach) i know the history of it sense new so that's got to be worth something right?

Put it up for sale. If you are happy with the offers, let it go, otherwise keep it.
My dad had a 2006 1500 SLT quad cab. Other than the air conditioner compressor working intermittently and rust on the body, he didn't have any issues with it. It had around 160k miles. Needed something newer but other than the rust, it was a solid truck.
