If a starter gear is stuck in the flywheel teeth would that allow the truck to bypass the neutral safety switch and start the vehicle in any gear?

It will start but with it being stuck in the fly wheel youll burn yhe starter out on yhe front of yhe starter depending on type there,s a cogged wheel that when starter turns this cogg flings foward engaging that cogg to fly wheel which yhen cranks the engine over if yhat ckoggs stuck and permanatly engaged it will burn starter out take starter out losen this cogg and smeer a little grease along the shaft make sure it freeley goes back and forth then stick starter back in as long as it hasent been damaged should work fine for years
