I have a 2006 ford 500 with 268,000 it won't start and it smelles like gas if put your foot on the gas and try to start it
You need to stop cranking the engine praying for it to start else its possible their could be ignition and your car will be on fire. You need to diagnose what the possibles are such as no ignition or your timing belt/chain could have broken. Other factors are ignition controls are not energized. You know you have gas..but no ignition or even compression. You need a competant diagnostician to test what you have working and not to determine the problem.
it started right up yester day
I don't thank its the ignition it did crank
Read codes and report back.
change fuel filter pump clean the lines check the fuse clean the injectors
Have you physically checked for fuel leaks?
Did the canister purge valve hose come off?
Did you check the fuel pressure regulator?
