I am considering buying a 2006 Infiniti fx35 from a dealership for 8,000 with only 101,000 miles on it. The only thing is when I went to go check it out it smelled a little bit like fumes when he first started it but it could have been sitting for awhile. Google says they are notorious for smelling like fumes. Is there anything I should check first? And is it worth 8000 very good condition exterior and interior and has such low miles?
They are great cars but finding a very nice first gen FX is really hard. Make sure you have a mechanic check it out and have the issues sorted out and I would offer less money since 8 grand for a 15-year-old Infiniti with a little over 100k miles is way too much. I would probably offer like 5-6 grand.
If the issues are gonna cost a fortune I would look for another one or elsewhere.
