2006 Mazda 3, 2.3 hatch, no mods, 128k miles, automatic trans.
Battling code P2187
Replaced:
MAF
Pcv, Intake gaskets
PSV (twice, dorman sucks)
MAP
Gas cap (twice)
Upstream o2 sensor
My fuel trim is off, obvi- and what’s weird is it seems to correlate with the AC being on- fuel trim is excellent at 2500 rpm. Long term fuel trim is showing 20% or around, short term hovering around 12% at idle with ac on. Ac off it drops to 8%
Took it to Mazda, they had no definite answer other than lazy o2, so I replaced that. I REALLY don’t want to spend 3k bucks to fix this, let’s be honest my car isn’t worth that much.

Look for vacuum leak.
