We have been told we have a oil leak. It comes from the under the hood up close to the windshield but by coming out by the fender a valve leak sometimes you can smell it through the AC if the recondition button is not push the estimates we’ve got about $500 to $700. It burns oil not tremendously my question is can I use the AT205 As a temporary fix until I get the money together for the repair?
If it's a valve cover leak AT-205 will not help. That sounds pretty expensive to replace a valve cover gasket, but if that's a V6 I think the intake manifold and maybe some other stuff has to come off to do the job. Is that a dealer price? If so you might want to get an estimate from an independent mechanic.
You can try but I don't think it'll help much.
