Trying hard to find a reliable, spacious vehicle for my wife (used for business, and transporting two little ones). Is a 2006 Mazda 5 with 70k miles any good, assuming a good mechanic gives it the ok? Budget is tight!

For that price if you could find a 06 07 Toyota Sienna then look for that or get a newer one the 15 year old will have more problems.
2006 had the most issues reported. Also, there were some instances of blown engine that year (109,000 average mile and $5,400 average cost to fix).

It’s a great, practical and actually bit of fun to drive car! It’s basically a Mazda3 with a different body. You just have to make sure that it wasn’t trashed! If you like what you see, … have it checked before you lay a cash out!
