2006 Mercury Mariner

AC works well at speeds under 40mph. If I accelerate I feel that the AC shuts down until I stop accelerating and then the cooling starts again. Its a 6 cylinder luxury model with lots of power.  It has 105K miles

All right check for vacuum leaks. If you have a vacuum leak when you accelerate the engine uses the vacuum power. The AC shuts down and then when you go back to cruising the vacuum pressure goes to normal and it starts working
