2006 Nissan Frontier 4cyl manual transmission with 188k miles that dies under load typically going uphill.

It's got a new fuel filter, new ignition coil, new transmission, new sparkplugs. The battery is 9 years old.

What could be causing it to die?

EDIT: No codes reported. No check engine light.

It should have some sort of codes stored if it has that much of a drive ability concern.. try having the vehicle scanned and let us know what is found.. a clogged cat or maf sensor can cause similar concerns

There aren't any codes.

Get the alternator tested and just to be safe make sure the fuel filter is installed in the proper direction.. surprisingly it does matter

I’d recommend you buy a new battery. Have you load tested your battery & alternator?

Also, have you already pressure tested your fuel pump?

I would put a pressure gauge on the fuel rail and monitor it
