I have a 2006 RAV4 Sport V6 203,000 miles with some issues. Squeaking rear of the car intermittently mostly happens when I go over bumps that are high and when the car comes down it makes a squeaking noise. It is pretty annoying that I took it to the dealership and was willing to pay 129.99 (diagnose fee) USD to have them find the noise and maybe fix it but they could not find it. I change the struts on it a while back because one side of the structs was leaking oil. I went under the car and moved the exhaust and it squeak similar to that sound and I sprayed silicone spray on the hangers. Then I lifted the exhausted and no sound so I drove it on a bump and it squeaks. I thought it was the trunk door as some forums and put tape on the latch but that didn't help.
2nd issue is sometimes when I push the gas their is a delay in the acceleration and sometimes a small jolt. I changed the transmission fluid with Toyota fluid from dealership. Some called it acceleration lag some say it is shifting lag. I clean Mass airflow senor, changed air filter regularly, and throttle body.
The rear noise could be some of your bushes being old .inspect or spray some rubber rejunivator on the rear links and suspension.
The lag could be alot of things and yes sign the torque converator is getting old .
I would just leave it or get independent mechanic to inspect it.
@klob
thanks will try to spray some on it.
