I’m looking at buying this 2006 Saturn Ion 2 . Seller states gear 3&4 don’t work. Think this is a good buy at $1,500.00? If I change the transmission oil and filter and use the stuff you had in a video. Think the two gears will start to work?

Not sure. The add says gear 3 & 4 don’t work but the rest do and they can easily drive 20 mph in 5th gear.

It probably needs a new transmission which would cost more than the car is worth. This seller is trying to find sucker to buy his heap of scrap. Don't be that sucker.
Yes. Listen to @mmj. $1500 is just the start. This thing needs expensive repairs, and pretty much anything transmission related will be more than the value of the car.
If you're really intent on throwing away $1500 you might as well do it in Vegas or Atlantic City and at least get some entertainment value out of it. The car is only worth scrap value.
