I have a 2005 toyota corolla ce 1zzfe with 179,500 km. No codes
Whenever I park, I put the car in neutral then pull the parking brake and the shift into park.
The issue is that when I put it into neutral, sometimes the car shuts off. This happened 4 times. 1 out of the 4 times the car stuttered and turned back on. Please help
Have you cleaned out your throttle body and idle air control lately?
I would do that if you can, pretty quick and easy to do. Might want to clean your maf while you are at it.
With the TB, I think you have drive by cable for it, but if it is drive by wire be more careful. I know my matrix awd still has it in 05, but not sure when corolla switched. You just can't open the TB manually I think.
Could also be a neutral safety switch.
look for vacuum leaks
